Online Registration in e-Banking

Introduction

Online Registration is a way to facilitate internet banking for a customer who doesn’t have internet banking access. At the time of account opening the customer might not have opted for net banking facility. Without going to the bank customer can create internet banking user ID using this functionality. This feature is introduced for Retail user/ consumer.

User will be providing customer id and details in an online form, and once the form is submitted these details will be validated and user id will get created with which user can access e-banking.

There are two modes of registration.

  • Online

  • Offline

Online-   In this mode creation of a retail user at the time of registration itself is possible.

Offline - In offline scenario we cannot create a retail user Id at the time of registration .Here we will be submitting the registration form to bank user, and bank user will be creating the user id. This type of request will be handled procedurally by the bank user. In case of offline mode after the customer has entered the CIF and other details in the registration screen, on click of continue the preview confirm screen will get displayed. Further when the user clicks on ‘continue’ the request will go for the bank user approval. Once the bank user receives the request he will have to close the request manually. Another important difference b/w the online and offline registration is that , there will not be any authentication step as in online mode. This has been explained in Registration for internet banking (online mode).
