Registration for Internet Banking (Online Mode)

Introduction

An existing customer of the bank who has been provided with customer ID/CIF ID and accounts under such CIF ID can self opt/enable for internet banking facility through register for internet banking facility in online mode. In case of online mode once the details are submitted by the customer internet banking user id will be created for the customer in e-Banking application. The online registration process can be with or with bank user approval. In case of bank user approval once the request is submitted by the customer it will go for the bank user approval and such request can either be approved or rejected by bank user using the menu option ‘ Request Maintenance ‘ in bank user login. Where as in case of no bank user approval the process will be completed without any bank user approval in the registration process.

CIF ID/Customer ID, first name last name etc. has to be given in a registration form and on submitting the form, an FI (Finacle Integrator) call is made where the details are validated with CRM (CIF Id details stored in Customer Relationship Management Application) and on successful authentication, the customer of the bank is asked to set password and a user id will gets auto generated using which the customer can login to e-Banking application.

Online Mode supports two flows.

• RM(Bank User) approval required

• RM(Bank User) approval not required

In the case of ‘RM approval required ‘flow, after providing customer id and other details, on successful authentication the request will be sent to bank user for approval. Once bank user approves, the customer can resume registration process.

‘RM approval not required flow’ doesn’t have a bank user intervention .After providing customer id and other details, on successful authentication, user id gets created and using with which the customer can login.

The following is the navigation for this option:

• In the bank’s website, the bank will have configured a panel/section for ‘Register for internet Banking services’. Technically this is called as ‘frames’. Under this panel bank will be providing a link ‘ If you are an existing customer, click here to register for internet services’ by clicking on this the user will be guided to ‘set online registration mode’ screen.
