Introduction |
To enhance the security of the online transactions carried out by the bank customers, some banks adopt to more dynamic security measures apart from the traditional password authentication. Unique Reference Number (URN) or One Time Password (OTP) is one such measure. Whenever a customer does a transaction which enabled for URN/OTP, customer will be alerted with a reference number, which he/she has to enter to authenticate the transaction. The URN/OTP will be sent to the customer’s preferred channel (mobile phone/email). Till the user provides the URN/OTP, a message “Record Pending Self Confirmation” is displayed. In case the customer has initiated multiple transactions, then an equal number of tokens will be generated and send across to the channels which can be used for authorization of each transaction. This menu enables a Bank User to do the setups related to the functionality given above. |
