Standard Screen Layout

Introduction

Each screen in the e-Banking application comprises a set of standard elements that perform a particular function as detailed in the ensuing sub section.

Application Menu
This is a series of hyperlinks in the left frame of the screen, which allow the user to navigate around different parts of the application. These links are shown in multiple levels.
- The first level are the current set of menus.
- "+" sign indicates sub menu availability.
- "-" sign indicates non-availability of sub menus.

View screen elements

Screen Title

The Screen Title displays the title of the screen, which is currently displaying on your desktop. It is a display-only bar which is consistent across the e-Banking application.
Data Entry Area
This is the main frame of the displayed screen and consists of display and action elements. This frame is located below the Title Bar of the screen.
- The display element consists of FIELD DATA that is arranged either in rows and columns for easy viewing.
- The action element is in the form of buttons like RETRIEVE, SUBMIT, CANCEL and others. This is a group of buttons which perform some action within the current screen, such as updating the database, terminating the screen, or resetting the selection criteria. This is situated at the bottom of the screen. The action elements may become visible only on scrolling to the bottom of the area.
Contextual Help

The Help for every screen is placed to the right corner of the Navigation Bar in the form of Help icon. This icon can be clicked to understand the functionality and operative details of the screen currently displaying on your desktop.
