Authentication - Credit Card

Introduction

Once the user clicks  on ‘continue’ after providing the necessary details in Registration for internet banking screen,  user is guided to ‘Authentication screen’ where the user will have to provide the authentication details to ensure that the registration process is fraudulent free.

Authentication step is provided for more security, because some hacker who somehow obtains the CIF id and details he can create a user and access net banking. Authentication is provided to eliminate such risk.

Authentication can be done by credit card, debit card, OTP, secure pin or a combination of these. The mode of authentication can be configured by the bank. By default the authentication mode will be credit card. Ideally the value that we enter here should match with the details in CRM. After filling mandatory fields customer will have to click on ‘continue’ to proceed further with the registration process.

Navigation

The following is the navigation for this option:

  • Click  Continue in the Registration for Internet Banking- Registration Details screen.

  • The Authentication - Credit Card Details screen is displayed.

Continue with the registration process.

  • once the user clicks on ‘Continue’ in this screen the customer will get the message ‘Request is successfully sent for bank approval. Your request number is %%%%%’. This type of request comes only when the registration process is enabled for bank user approval. Else the user will get a different message.

  • The bank user can access such requests which requires action using the menu ‘Request Maintenance’ . in this screen while retrieving the records which are pending for verification the bank user can select the request type as either ‘offline registration’ or ‘online registration’. Facility has been provided for the bank user to view the request details and then take the action accordingly.

  • If the bank has not enabled  bank user approval for registration of internet banking facility through online then the request will not go to bank user for his approval. After submission of registration, Once the CIF ids is validated and after the authentication step, on clicking continue Set password screen will be displayed.
